Race car mechanic Andressa “Andi” Amaro has one rule—no dating drivers. With a good reason behind the rule, she has no plans on breaking it.

Carrick Ryan is the bad boy of Formula One. With a face and body that melts panties on sight, and an Irish lilt that leaves women on their knees, begging for more. He races hard and parties harder. The youngest driver to ever sign with F1, he’s still at the top of his game five years later, breaking hearts on and off the tracks.

When Andi is offered her dream job working in the glamorous world of F1, she leaves her home in Brazil, positive she can handle working for Carrick. But she’s not prepared for the off-the-chart sparks that fly the moment they meet.

Now, Andi has a crush on the one man she can’t have, and her resolve is about to be put to the test, because Carrick has decided he wants Andi, and he plans on testing her to the very limit…

My thoughts:

You know a book made an impression when you read it in less than twenty four hours and once you finish you want to read it again. Revved was like an adrenaline rush straight into the bloodstream with characters that come to life and an exotic backdrop of alluring locals that will take your breath away. This book made me laugh, swoon, squirm, blush, shout and even cry, god I loved every minute of it!

I loved Towle’s writing from her previous books, but Revved put it into high gear for me, what an addictive and incredibly sexy story. She has a way of painting the picture so vividly and realistically that you feel as if you’re part of the world she created.

To say I fell completely head over heels for Carrick Ryan is an understatement, I’m a sucker for a bad boy that falls to his knees and turns into mush for the girl that finally captures his heart.

Carrick is a hot shot formula one driver, not to mention a total manwhore off the track, used to getting whoever he wants and he knows it too. He is such a loveable character though, he is confident, arrogant and completely unashamed about it. The way he talked about sex so openly had me blushing. He is a character that easily pulls you into his world with all his charm and secretly sweet side.

“So, is that a good fuck or a bad fuck?”

“Every fuck is a good fuck, Andressa- at least with me it is.”

Then comes Andi Amaro for the challenge. She is my kind of female heroine, I enjoyed her character immensely. I was kinda getting tired of the typical, average looking girl you read about in every book. Andi is gorgeous, she looks like a freaking supermodel, not to mention that her profession is to fix race cars, how cool is that. You go girl!

Andi gets hired as Carrick’s new mechanic and she has one rule, never get involved with a driver-she has her reasons-but that’s easier said than done because our boy Carrick is just too hard to resist and he has his sights set on his gorgeous, reluctant new mechanic.

He’s staring at me with a sexy smirk on his face and deep curiosity in his eyes. He’s looking at me like I’m his next meal. He takes a step closer to me. His voice lowers as he says, “I’m far from disappointed. You’re beautiful, smart, feisty, and good with your hands. All my favorite things wrapped up in one hot package.”

Andi and Carrick are a perfect combination of sexy, stubborn and just plain delicious. It was a DANGEROUS mix, explosive and consuming in the best way. I’m a goner for that intense kinda love that sets everything on fire and you just can’t get enough.

There are parts of the story that honestly will have you screaming in frustration. These characters are not perfect, they are flawed and human so I’m warning you it gets dramatic at points, they will piss you off but OMG you just can’t stop. I think the drama just made me want more, which is odd for me. I avoid drama as much as possible, I think that it was well balanced with the humor and it didn’t take away from the story. It was a good drama, not the drama that kills you a slow miserable death for no good reason.

“So I’m here, telling you that I want you today and every day after. I’m so beyond fucking crazy about you that I’m going insane from not being with you. So, whatever it is that’s stopping you from being with me, like we both know you want, then just fight it, babe, because I can’t be without you a moment longer.”

The storyline felt fresh and different. I had been having a hard time finding a book that grabbed my attention, I can be quite picky. Revved, more than met my expectations, it really hit me like a race car going three hundred miles per hour. What an adrenaline pumping, heart stopping,  panty dropping ride. Get revved up with Carrick and Andi you won’t regret it.
