He can protect her from everyone except himself.

Alana Gore is in danger. A take-no-prisoners publicist, her way with people has made her more than a few enemies over the years, but a creepy stalker is an entirely different matter. She needs a bodyguard, and the only man she can ask is not only ridiculously hot, but reputed to have taste for women that goes beyond adventurous.

Chandler Gamble has one rule: don’t protect anyone you want to screw. But with Alana, he’s caught between his job and his increasingly hard libido. On one hand, Alana needs his help. On the other, Chandler wants nothing more than to take the hot volcano of a woman in hand. To make her writhe in pleasure, until she’s at his complete mercy.

She needs protection. He needs satisfaction. And the moment the line is crossed, all hell will break loose..

My thoughts:

Let me start by saying that this series is fantastic!!! Easy reads with drool worthy alpha males that will make you weak at the knees. The Gamble brothers are panty dropping sexy and they will steal your heart. Jennifer Armentrout (J. Lynn) never fails to deliver captivating characters and well thought out storylines that engage the reader. Whether it’s YA, New Adult or Paranormal, Jennifer always manages to combine the perfect recipe for a fascinating, imaginative story that proves impossible to put down or forget.

“I can promise you that there won’t be a second of this you won’t enjoy.”

I have been waiting for this book for what seems like an eternity, pretty much ever since I read Tempting the Player about a year ago. In that story we got a glimpse of the sexy bodyguard Chandler and the hardcore publicist Alana and I knew it was a matter of time before those two got together and that once they did, it would be one crazy ride.

Alana Gore is a hard-ass, stuffy pants, publicist with commitment issues and a less than likeable personality to say the least. She is a loner, keeps to herself, and is unbelievably good at her job. Nevertheless her methods sometimes put her on the most hated list, but it’s not something she minds. At the end of the day she believes she does a lot of good for her faulty clients. When Alana starts receiving threatening letters and fearing for her safety, there is only one person she trusts to protect her and thats the imposing, sex on legs Chandler Gamble.

Chandler has had one thought in both his heads for quite a while, Alana Gore. From the first moment he saw her in her stuffy pant suit, and librarian glasses, he can’t get her out of his mind. When she walks back into his life seeking his help, it is the perfect opportunity to indulge in his fantasies.

“You can have as many pieces of me as you want. You can have all of me, for forever.”

The sexy banter between this two was downright hilarious at time. Alana is mouthy, reluctant and doesn’t take any shit from anyone. And Chandler… Well, he is not shy about what he wants. He proves to be enigmatic, persistent and simply irresistible. As they spend time together, Chandler realizes that Alana isn’t the terrible, heartless person she is perceived as. She cares about what she does and genuinely wants to help her clients, despite how annoying the situations may be. Chandler knows that with a woman like Alana, it would take a lot of patience to achieve what he wants but he is willing to put in the time.

“There was a good chance she was going to punch him in the face. “First off, fuck you.”

His blue eyes gleamed with mischief. “I like where this is heading.”

Correction: she was going to kick him in the balls.”

I loved, loved, loved the change up in this story. Whereas in the first two books the brothers were somewhat similar with serious commitment issues, this time around, Chandler Gamble knows what he wants, and he is not afraid to go after it. He is secure in his desire for Alana and if he has to make her stubborn ass see that she feels the same way for him, then it’s on.

“I like to chase Alana.”

“I don’t like to be chased.”

“You will when is me, I will chase you and I will catch you.”

Seeing Alana’s soft side as she slowly starts to accept Chandler, was refreshing. She is a loner at heart and is not used to having anyone help her or love her for that matter but with Chandler she learns to let her walls down and be adventurous and spontaneous as she finds love where she least expected it.

“She wanted a tomorrow and a weekend. She wanted a next week and a next month. She wanted a future, and she had never wanted that before.”

This wasn’t my favorite of the three but it was definitely a fantastic addition and a steamy read. You won’t be able to put it down.
